Armenia - Iran trade expansion discussed in business workshop

According to Iranian deputy minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), Alireza Peyman- Pak, Trade exchange volume between Iran and Armenia is targeted three million USD, at the moment after Russia and China, Iran is ranked in third place in exporting countries to Armenia.

According to the news site of TPO a one-day workshop had been organized in the organization to introduce the market of Armenia and the Iranian Trade Center to be opened in Yerevan. Alireza Peyman Pak, Rahmatollah Khormali, Head of the Eurasia and Russia department of TPO, Zohouri, Ambassador of the I.R. of Iran to the R. of Armenia, Arsen Avagyan, Ambassador of the R. of Armenia to the I.R. of Iran, the trade attaches of both countries, officials from government and private sectors and businesspeople were present in the workshop.

During the event Peyman-Pak noted the goal of volume of trade exchange between two countries is set for three million USD, at the moment the value of export from Iran to Armenia is 437million USD and in the countries having export to Armenia, Iran is ranked in third place after Russia and China adding the role of Armenia as a bridge in trade between Iran and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as Armenia is the only member of the Union having land border with Iran.

In his speech Peyman-Pak pointed the capabilities of Iran and Iranian companies in offering services in technical and engineering fields and starting cooperation in the spheres of renewable energies, construction projects, dam building, irrigation systems, there are mutual projects as well such as gas-electricity exchange, manufacturing home appliances and other industrial products, holding exhibitions, establishing refinery , free zones, production lines ,industrial townships etc. with Armenia

Which can contribute to expand trade of two countries.
